Guest: Tim Wagner

Tim Wagner

Tim brought two of his instruments, a dreadnought with the soundhole as the cutaway and a large side soundport, and a nylon string with side soundport (no center soundboard hole). These were two beautiful, great sounding instruments.

Pantograph

Larry built this reducing pantograph hoping that it will be useful for routing inlays and the pockets for inlays. It seems like it will work but it may only be worth the effort if you're doing lots of inlay that must be identical. This was based on a pantograph designed by Mathias Wandell that you can see here.

It is set up for a 3:1 reduction. You use a template that is 3 times larger than the final size. The larger source image is easier to create with the desired detail.
