Chet's shop in Roanoke
Meeting highlights: Install rosette, Tim Wagner's guitars, Leo Cullen's electric uke, pantograph.
Installing the rosette
Chet uses a dremel tool with a circle cutting attachment to cut the channel for the rosette.
Pantograph
Larry built this reducing pantograph hoping that it will be useful for routing inlays and the pockets for inlays. It seems like it will work but it may only be worth the effort if you're doing lots of inlay that must be identical. This was based on a pantograph designed by Mathias Wandell that you can see here.
It is set up for a 3:1 reduction. You use a template that is 3 times larger than the final size. The larger source image is easier to create with the desired detail.
